Tyler's passion for woodworking ignited while he was working at a church in Las Vegas. He and his then-fiancé wanted a dining set that would serve as a centerpiece for building relationships.

With borrowed tools, Tyler's woodworking journey began in the driveway of the family he was staying with.

He started by crafting a coffee table and soon expanded to a full dining set, bed frame, and shelves. His love for woodworking grew into a thriving business from these humble beginnings.

Before dedicating himself to woodworking full-time, Tyler spent 7 years working in churches and non-profits. During this time, he learned that a supportive community and a healthy family are among the most valuable and transformative gifts a person can have.

Now Tyler runs multiple businesses: The Southern Craftsmen, Furniture Business Builders, Wood Table Bases, and Family Furniture Co.

He and his team build and ship furniture throughout the country while creating content and collaborating with other businesses to help them grow their businesses.

Tyler shares his expertise and experiences to help others refine their skills, grow their businesses, and navigate the challenges of woodworking.

As a content creator and collaborator, Tyler partners with brands and fellow makers to bring high-quality, engaging content to a growing community of woodworkers and DIY enthusiasts.
